OUR TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
As God’s people, we want to be guided by His Word and empowered by His Spirit to become more like Jesus. This means:
1 - We teach from the Bible. All Scripture is God-breathed and is our sole authority. Our teaching style is expositional (verse-by-verse), canonical (thematic), or a study of an entire book of the Bible.
2 - We teach as a team. We have a plurality of elders/pastors and value their different perspectives. By operating this way, we ensure our people are not too reliant on one voice.
3 - We teach for life change. Preaching is designed not simply to pass on information but to form us so that “we may be complete for every good work” (2 Tim 3:17). We want our sermons to be grace-filled and repentance-driven so that the Spirit may form us to become more like Jesus.
